Short-toothed mountain mint can be aggressive, best used in areas where spread is desired like a meadow. It’s foliage is the real show stopper, but pollinators still love their unassuming flowers. Most mountain mints are drought, deer, rabbit, and salt tolerant, but can handle a little shade and moisture as well. They make good cut flowers, smell delicious and are edible. Mountain mints attract a wide variety of pollinators that love their nectar and pollen, and they host some specialty pollinators. They have a very long summer bloom time with many flowers at a time, providing so much food for wildlife. They are covered with pollinators all summer. There is one for every garden or meadow.
