Bearberry is a wonderful dense evergreen groundcover. It spreads easily after it’s first year in poor or sandy acidic soils. It has light pink to white flowers from spring through summer that become red berries in September and persist when the foliage turns purple in fall and winter. Need protection from deer in winter.
