Black chokeberry is a wonderful shrub that is great to use as hedge or thicket. It has beautiful white blooms in the spring and fantastic red fall foliage along with black berries that feed songbirds through the winter. Although found in boggy areas, it can tolerate drought once established, making it great in a large rain garden. It is also a butterfly host plant and benefits pollinators and other wildlife. Protect from deer, 6-10′, sun to shade.
