Wild bergamot is drought tolerant and can handle sun. Does great in a garden or naturalized in a meadow with it’s lavender blooms.Monarda attracts and supporting hummingbirds, butterflies, moths, wasps, you name it, pollinators love monarda. It smells delicious and makes a great cut flower, it should be in every garden. Bee balms will add color and life to your garden. It is also a host plant to the Orange Mint and Hermit Sphinx Moths. It is listed as 2-4′, but in my south facing garden it reached nearly 5′. It makes for a wonderful long summer bloom with seed heads to feed songbirds into the fall and winter. Wonderful structure from summer through winter. Deer and rabbit resistant.
