Yellow-twig dogwood is a wonderful plant for winter interest and cuttings. It is not listed as deer resistant, but I have never had much trouble with them. It is a pollinator plant when it blooms in spring, has attractive fall foliage, and if you cut it back close to the ground in spring, you will have the most vibrant colors the following winter. It is also a host plant to the Azure moth.
